Financial Wellbeing Within Sport.
Delivering healthier relationships with money and wellbeing for sports people.
We are a not-for-profit community interest company and education service specifically introduced for sports people to help raise awareness of the link between simple money management, improved wellbeing and mental health prevention.
Every club, academy, governing body and community partner we support helps fund programmes tackling disability, mental health, suicide prevention and social exclusion.
We offer a free and simple introductory workshop, which helps to start building healthier relationships with money, everyday financial wellbeing and reduces the anxiety that so many sportsmen and women experience during their lives.
FWWS was created by West Ham United player Ryan Briggs and FinWELL Training, with Alice Hendy MBE, founder of R;pple (suicide prevention) and Mental Health First Aid England.
We believe financial wellbeing underpins mental wellbeing and deserves the same priority as sleep, therapy, coaching and exercise.
We are supported by various collaborative partners including former international football players, athletes and well respected sports professionals and brand ambassadors.
Our financial education service brings together young players, athletes, parents and guardians, employees, club representatives and intermediaries.

FWWS creates a space to talk and learn steps for money management, strengthening financial and mental fitness.
This helps us identify who needs guidance, protecting wellbeing during and after a career.
Financial anxiety is common in sport. Research shows athletes get little financial education despite short careers and unpredictable income, and money stress can heighten mental health pressures around injury, transition or retirement. With the early confidence, skills and habits that FWWS can provide financial anxiety is preventable.
As a Community Interest Company (CIC), all income is reinvested back into positive social impact, not shareholder profit.
Clients are invited, never obligated, to make a voluntary donation to help broaden our work and support our partner charities.
Choosing FWWS helps change lives far beyond sport. It is a partnership with purpose, improving financial confidence today and strengthening communities for the future.
